object type: Carved Egyptian alabaster jug, with a round foot, handle, and flat rim. Incised pattern visible on the handle, and around the rim, "the end going round the neck as though strips of willow or cord lashed together". Given the number '1667' in the Towry-Whyte Collection. Suggested as XVIII dynasty. Acquired by Towry-Whyte from Lawrence in 1930.
