Shape: lion seated on a rectangular plinth. A handle and spout protrude from the upper back. Decoration: all decoration is painted in lustre. On the face and neck painted features comprise eyes, nose, whiskers and a beaded collar with connecting harness that is formed into a spout and handle. The legs, shoulders and haunches are outlined with thick lines of lustre, forming panels that contain roughly drawn circles, at times containing cross hatching, on a background of dots and dashes. This design continues on the body where it is joined by two medallions on the back containing birds painted in reserve.
