Shape: pear shaped body flaring towards the rim, sits on a low foot ring. Angled spout attached to the body and a strap handle with thumb rest attached to the neck and body. Exterior: on the rim, neck and lower body inscriptions are painted in lustre or incised through a lustre band. On the body, panels containing arabesques, surrounded by half palmettes, are reserved in lustre or painted in blue on a lustre ground containing incised scrolls and divided by vertical panels with lustre inscriptions. On the lower body, a chain stripe pattern is painted in lustre above a lustre band on the foot ring. On the spout, further palmettes are reserved in lustre, on the handle a cable pattern is painted in lustre and framed by lustre panels. Glaze terminates on the foot ring where it covers the surface unevenly. Interior: a lustre band is painted on the rim above a calligraphic (or possibly pseudo calligraphic) band painted in lustre.
