Andromache stands on her right leg with her left crossed over in front of it. She holds a wreath in her left hand, and leans on her right elbow on the urn. This figure can be attribued to Leeds on the basis of examples marked LEEDS POTTERY at Temple Newsam House, Leeds (1947.0016.0197), and LEEDS in the Victoria and Albert Museum (C.29-1955). It was probably derived from a Derby porcelain model, as it is not closely related to the print of Andromache and Hecuba weeping over the Ashes of Hector by Thomas Burke (1749-1815) after Angelica Kauffmann (1741-1807) published in 1771 by W.
