<value>This piece was among a large quantity of sherds and waster vessels excavated at the Wrotham pottery in 1907 and 1908 in a dig instigated by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher and carried out by a local antiquary Benjamin Harrison. They are completely different from the slipware tygs for which Wrotham is famous, of which only a few unglazed fragments were found.</value>
