<value>The medallion modelled by John de Vaere shows Nelson after he had lost his arm, and wearing the star and sash of a Knight of the Bath which he was granted in 1797. The mould, and original wax with de Vaere’s receipt for £2.15s.0d. dated 9 November 1798 are at the Wedgwood Museum, Barlas¬ton. He modelled Nelson as part of a set of Admirals; the others were Duncan, Howe and St Vincent.</value>
