The cylindrical mug stands on a slightly projecting foot ring. It has an indented horizontal band below the rim, and an angular strap handle. The exterior is decorated overall with a railway-train travelling to the left through a landscape with hills, trees, a cottage and a church with a spire. The locomotive, labelled 'FURY', is followed by a small open tender for the coal, two closed first class passenger trucks, and part of an open passenger truck. On the inside of the top there is a geometrical border pattern.
