<value>This flask bears a man's name and was probably used for a spirit, such as gin, or rum. There is a possibility that it was one of an exchange of gifts, because a flask closely resembling it is inscribed 'My Love is pure and shall Endure 'around 'JB/1723', which probably indicates a gift from a man to a woman.</value>
