object type: Buff earthenware, tin-glazed except for the inside of the foot, and painted in blue. The bulbous jar stands on a circular spreading foot and has a short neck with a slightly everted rim, an applied handle of D section with a small thumb rest on the top and a scroll at the lower end, and a short bulbous spout.  On the front below the spout is the name of the contents 'S.ACETOSOS.S.I.' in a oblong cartouche with a strapwork edge, a fleur-de-lys at the bottom and rounded ends with a stylized plant outside them. Below are the initials and date 'I6 IG 69' enclosed by three swags.
