object type: Earthenware tin-glazed on the front and painted in blue. Rectangular with an integral raised frame.  In the centre there is a simplified representation of the Monument, London, flanked by the initials and date A/17 and  W/38 (AW 1738). On three sides of the edge there is a border of lappets and stylized floral motifs, and on the frame a running border of leaves.
