The plate has an octagonal rim, slightly upturned on the edge, and and a shallow circular well, which is flat underneath. In the centre are the initials and date ‘MS/1686’, enclosed by a wreath with a yellow bulb at the bottom. The rim is decorated with eight plants, each with a bud, two pairs of leaves, and a yellow bulb at the bottom.
