The goblet-shaped cup stands on a high domed foot. On each side it has a handle made of two rolls of clay with a serpent applied to the outside, and twisted lower terminals. The domed cover is in the form of a crown with alternating fleur-de-lys and Maltese crosses round the edge, and a large knob surrounded by four everted leaves and surmounted by a Maltese cross. Below the rim of the cup is a panel inscribed 'IH' and on the other side, another inscribed '1700'. The sides of the cup are decorated wth a cupid armed with a bow and arrows, and a naked figure wth a spear amidst stylized plants, dotted circles, and dots.
