It seems probably that this jug came from Orvieto, or elsewhere in Umbria or northern Lazio, rather than from Faenza to which it was attributed to W.B. Honey. Jugs with carinated rims and various different types of decoration have been found at a kiln site adjacent to the Pozzo della Cava in via della Cava, Orvieto. Jugs with sunburst motifs have been found at another pottery further up the street.referenceterm-106437adlib-term-10643759e72604-922d-3194-ac46-27c1c5ac76a415th Century, Latereferenceterm-106256adlib-term-1062561bd8ad44-09c2-3c55-825a-635e463bb56b16th Century, Early#referenceterm-10618adlib-term-106189ebc0ae1-8cf8-312b-832c-9cf44da02136Renaissancereferenceterm-42861adlib-term-428615b368285-f1a8-3dcf-a5b2-637fd3c3956cearthenwareHeightcm18.7Widthcm13.4referencemedia-37461adlib-media-374610fba8915-ef3f-3ec3-83c3-b400e86dd338jpegaa/aa9/C_167_1991_281_29.jpg1heightpixels740widthpixels57017029267085961imagejpegaa/aa9/mid_C_167_1991_281_29.jpg1heightpixels649widthpixels50017029267085961imagejpegaa/aa9/C_167_1991_281_29.jpg1heightpixels740widthpixels57017029267085961imagejpegaa/aa9/preview_C_167_1991_281_29.jpg1heightpixels325widthpixels25017029267085961image0media
