object type: Buff earthenware, tin-glazed greenish-white, and painted in blue, green, yellow, and manganese-purple. Circular with a narrow sloping rim, shallow sloping sides, and flat centre. The middle is decorated with a scene showing a yellow hot-air balloon in the sky over a house, trees, and a fence. The rim is decorated with a border of green festoons with purple pendants between them, blue floral sprays and a blue feathered edge.
