object type: Buff earthenware, thrown, covered with very shiny tin-glaze, and pained in blue. Circular with deep curved sides, standing on a high footring. The interior is inscribed in the middle 'C/WM/1733', and painted with four  crossed lozenges alternating with four formal motifs, perhaps intended for flaming pearls. The outside is decorated with floral sprays and birds, and with an upper border of pendant leaves, flanked by C-shaped tendrils.
