The jug is pear-shaped with a solid disk base and a loop handle. It is decorated on the front with a large and elaborate rosette with heart-shaped outermost petals, of which the inner background is painted blue. On either side of it is a plant with incised stems and a petalled flower at the top. On the side nearest to the handle, each of the plants has five shoots bearing alternately a carnation or pink and a beaded bud. These are paired with four shoots on the side next to the large rosette, but the fifth on each curves to right or left to meet in a large petalled flower above the rosette. The flowers and buds are all painted blue, and the background extending as far as the area below the handle is manganese-purple. The replacement handle is blue.
