The infant Christ lies on a mound in the middle, supported by St Anne (?). The Virgin kneels to the right of him and Joseph sits beside a tall rock and a tree. To the left, one shepherd kneels with a hound and three stand beside him adoring the Child. Behind the group there is a bearded man, two oxen and a ruined arch. Two more standing shepherds and one seated playing a pipe to his sheep are in the landscape background.C.208-19911accession numberC.208-199173085priref73085198919891989packing numberEURCER 881urihttps://data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/id/object/73085https://data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/id/object/73085oval with gold borderon backinscribed in pencil114labelreferenceagent-149638adlib-agent-1496387376d833-d0a7-3be0-916e-9c892b7a24d8The Fitzwilliam MuseumH.S.
