The dish is circular with a wide sloping rim, deep curved sides, and almost flat base. The well is decorated with a pale brown cross with a tulip at the end of each arm and with four dark brown, bewigged male heads in the spaces, each with a bulb or crown resting on the top of their head. In the spaces between the motifs are the initials 'S V H G' and the date '1703' in dark brown. The sloping border is decorated with six bewigged heads in dark brown slip alternating with six tulips in pale brown slip.
