The vase is lamp-shaped (or boat-shaped) with flaring mouths at either end and in the middle, and twelve holes pierced in the top to take the flower stems. The body is supported on a slightly conical circular foot and short stem. The sides are decorated with arrangements of Oriental style flowers and foliage, and on each end there is an oval panel containing a plant with two flowers surrounded by borders of wavy-edged leaves. The central spout is decorated with elongated leaves between pairs of manganese horizontal bands.
