object type: Tin-glazed earthenware, painted in blue, green, yellow, and dark puce enamels. The plate is circular with a wavy six-sided edge, sloping side, and flat centre. The central area is occupied by a bunch of foliage and flowers, including a large rose, and a tulip, and on the sloping rim there are three floral sprays and three smaller sprigs. The edge is painted in puce to resemble a shell edge.
