On each side there is an oval panel with a scrolled frame: one enclosing the bust of a man in profile to right wearing a doublet and ruff; the other, the bust of a woman in profile to right. The sides are decorated with stylized foliage and flowers, reserved in a blue ground incised with short curved strokes.
