The vase is of octagonal pear-shaped form with compressed sides, standing on an octagonal foot which is concave underneath. The front is decorated with a panel edged by relief scrolls, enclosing a landscape with man standing on the right beside a tree, playing a pipe to a lady who sits on the ground in front of him. On both sides there is an area of scale pattern, rocks and stylized plants, and on the back, an inverted spray of simplified foliage. A border of Greek Key pattern runs round the edge of the base.
