    <value>Pale reddish-buff earthenware, thrown, coated on the front with white slip, and decorated with slip trailing in dark ochre, brown and white under yellowish lead-glaze. the reverse is undecorated. The circular dish has a broad sloping rim, deep sides, and a flat centre. The flat area is decorated with a symmetrical arrangement of three stems bearing two tulips rising from a lozenge-shaped motif, flanked by leaves, with ten rosettes in the spaces, On each side of the lozenge there is a broad, striped leaf, which covers the sides and extends towards the tulips. The rim is decorated with a border of thirteen tulips alternating with pointed leaves. The outlines of the flowers and leaves are jewelled in  dots of white slip.</value>
