The exterior is decorated with fine vertical lines, stopping short of the rim, which are incised into the body and filled with mauve-brown pigment. The interior has a fine pattern of vertical lines incised through a covering of manganese-brown pigment to reveal the cream body beneath. The circular recessed base has a radiating pattern of fine lines similarly executed. The surface is matt and unglazed</value>
