The oval dish has a scalloped edge, deep curved and fluted sides, and stands on a slight footring. The interior is decorated with a Chinese scene. On the right there is a pavilion, a looped up curtain, a blue cloud, and below it a hedge and plants. In the middle, a woman holding a bowl, followed by a little boy, approaches a large vase of flowers on a table, with one bird perching among the flowers, and another and three flying insects overhead.
