The jug has an ovoid body with shallow oblique ribs, a tall narrow neck, horizontaly reeded, and pinched at the top to form a lip. The handle in the form of a plait has at the top a pewter mount hinged to the cover, which has a finial of a depressed ball shape. The whole jug is scattered with small blue birds and floral sprigs. Around the top of the neck there is a criss-cross border.
