    <value>Dark buff earthenware, thrown, the front coated with cream slip and slip-trailed in dark brown and olive-green before application of lead-glaze; reverse undecorated. Circular with a wide, slightly sloping rim with a crinkled edge, and a deep well with curved sides. In the middle is a rosette surrounded by projecting trefoil and single leaves, and having below,  the initials and date in olive-green, 'T P 1733'.  On the sides of the well there is a row of seven small rosettes alternating with seven motifs comprising four leaves with spots between them, and on the rim there is a border comprising trefoil leaves (or tulips) alternating with smaller trefoil leaves with scrolls below them, and spots in the spaces, all trailed in olive-green with dark brown outlines.</value>
