Painted predominantly in manganese-purple, with touches of bluish-green and yellow. Fluted waisted body with curved shoulders and low foot; loop handle with an upward curl at its lower end; curved, fluted spout, and stepped, fluted cover surmounted by a cone-shaped finial. The flat rim of the pot has two indentations to admit matching projections on the inner rim of the cover. On each side there is a vignette of two buildings in a landscape. The rest of the body is decorated with sketchy foliage, scattered birds, butterflies, and other insects. The spout and handle are mottled in manganese and the rim of the pot and the edge of the foot are outlined in manganese. The cover is decorated with two buildings, four butterflies and foliage.
