object type: Tin-glazed earthenware, painted in and sponged in blue. Circular with narrow, steeply sloping rim and wide shallow well, standing on a footring pierced by a correctly placed suspension hole. Decorated with a landscape with a tree on the right and a church between two trees on the left. In the middle, a gentleman holding three flowers is approaching a lady holding a fan who is walking arm in arm with a gentleman holding a cane. Overhead there are four groups of birds. On the reverse there are three spur marks on the rim.
