Shape: lobbed bowl with bracketed rim descending via a carination onto a collared stem and pedestal foot. Interior: the neck is decorated with Kraak panels depicting, alternately, a landscape scene with sprouting vegetation, a bird within a floral spray, or a three stemmed flower amongst scrolling leaves. On the base, contained within a bracketed roundel, a figure is painted in reserve against a blue background. The figure is depicted crossing a bridge within a landscape of sprouting vegetation. Exterior: upper and lower body is coated with a brown glaze. Between these areas of glaze, just below the carination, a narrow frieze of chevrons is painted. Within the band of brown glaze on the lower body white palmette shapes contain blue painted landscape scenes incorporating stylised pagodas painted.
