The interior of the bowl is glazed, that of the cover unglazed. Semi-oviform bowl with four reeded loop handles with between two of them, a horizontal loop into which fits a whistle. High spreading foot. Inscribed round the rim of the bowl 'COM.GOOD WEMAN DRINK OF THE BEST IONE [JOAN] MY LADY AND ALL THE REST. 1718' with Ns reversed. Between the handles are rosettes and rough branching sprays with flowers. The cover is domed and has a flange which fits inside the bowl. Button finial.
