The figure is supported on a rocky mound which is open underneath. The woman stands with her head turned a little to her left. She has her right hand tucked into the pocket slit in her skirt, and with her left holds a handkerchief up to her breast. She has brown hair, and wears a round green hat with the brim turned up at the front. Her pale greenish-brown dress has three-quarter length sleeves and a low neckline. It is is open at the front to show a yellow stomacher, a bluish-white apron and a dark brown petticoat.
