Shape: carinated bowl with slightly everted rim, sits on a low foot ring.
Interior: all decoration is painted in dark purple. The rim is painted with a wavey line and on the carination two concentric lines delineate decoration on the body comprising a flower head. Four of the eight petals and the central stigma are cross-hatched. Three scars on the base indicate the use of a tripod stacking device in the kiln and an eruption point on the surface displays evidence of spalling in the kiln.
Exterior: on the neck, a frieze of dashed lines is contained within two concentric lines, all painted in dark purple. The turquoise glaze covers the surface up to a mid point on the body, leaving the remainder covered with a thin white slip. The underside of the foot ring is also painted but with a thicker white slip.C.474-19911accession numberC.474-199175225priref75225packing numberISCER 568urihttps://data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/id/object/75225https://data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/id/object/75225rectangular card label with string and a yellow sticky label attachedloosehand written in blackISCER/568labelreferenceagent-149638adlib-agent-1496387376d833-d0a7-3be0-916e-9c892b7a24d8The Fitzwilliam MuseumH.
