Interior: on the lip a scrolling frieze of flowers and leaves are painted within two concentric bands. On the body, sprays containing a central flower and leafy stems are separated by scrolling lines. On the roundel, a frog walks amongst a grassy, crescent shaped landscape towards two irregular shapes (possibly stylised pagodas) made from lozenges or cross-hatches; the frog carries a lantern on a pole over his shoulder. Above, a phoenix with a long trailing tail, and whose head is surrounded by cloud scrolls, descends from the sky parallel to a hillock with a sprouting floral spray. Exterior: on the body, a repeating frieze of folded lotus leaves, resembling a fungus, with scrolling stems are separated by stylised trefoils and stars. This frieze is enclosed within two concentric lines; a further parallel set of concentric lines is painted on the foot ring.
