Shape: hemispherical bowl with flange, lightly bracketed rim, on a low foot ring Interior: the cavetto is lightly incised with over-lapping scales. In the roundel decoration is reserved in blue and outlined in black, two qilin type beasts are portrayed back to back against a background of lotus flowers and leaves. Exterior: on the lower body a frieze of half flowers are painted between scrolls. Glaze covers the surface except for the rim of the foot ring; a square seal mark is painted in black on the base.
