DESCRIPTIVE DATA

object type: Off-white salt-glazed stoneware. The globular body stands on three moulded paw feet. It has a short cylindrical neck, a slightly curved spout and a roll handle with an upward 'kick' at the lower end. On each side it has the words GREEN:/TEA: surrounded by stylized leaves linked by scrolls. The circular domed cover has a capstan finial and is decorated with applied plant motifs: a trefoil leaf, a daisy head and a small spray of leaves.
