The jug is pear shaped with a narrow neck and wide pointed lip. The reeded loop handle has a kick at the bottom. It stands on three lion mask and paw feet. The lid is a slightly domed and has a flange that fits inside the neck. The knob is in the shape of a bird. The front of the body is decorated with a large rosette in the middle, flanked by interlaced scroll and tassel motifs, with scroll motifs above and below. The lid is decorated with flowers, scrolls, and leaves. There are traces of oil-gilding on the lion masks, and the reliefs on the body and lid, and three large spots on each side of the lip.
