object type: White stoneware, slip-cast, with applied moulded feet, and salt-glaze.  The pear-shaped pot has a projecting, upward tilting lip, a scalloped and cusped rim, a reeded loop handle with a kick at the lower end, and three shell and paw feet. Both sides are decorated in relief with a large pecten shell, and on either side of the lip there is a snail and two small pecten shells. On each side of the upper junction of the handle there is a leaf.
