object type: White stoneware, coated with blue slip, salt-glazed and painted with cold painted colours, including red and gold. The teapot has a globular body, a crabstock handle and spout with seven holes in the wall behind it to emit the tea, and a shallow circular cover with a globular knob pierced by a ventilation hole.  Both sides of the body, the shoulder, and the top of the cover are decorated with flowers and foliage which have faded and worn partially away.
