His left hand is on the stool. He wears a brown hat and shoes, whitish-cream smock, and gaiters with black buttons. Beside him is another man, who leans against the post with his right leg crossed over his left. In his right hand he holds a mug of beer, and his left hand is raised to his ear, as if he were slightly deaf. He has a cream beard, a buff hat, a whitish-cream smock, brown shoes, and gaiters with black buttons.
