The hermit is shown kneeling in a hilly landscape, gazing at a crucifix held aloft in his left hand, while clasping a large stone in his right, with which to beat his breast in penitence. The reverse of the bowl is embellished with lustreware bands, which give it an air of luxury.referenceterm-120009adlib-term-120009690a6332-cfc1-3411-a716-4dd4ec7d9a6516th Century, second quarter#referenceterm-10618adlib-term-106189ebc0ae1-8cf8-312b-832c-9cf44da02136Renaissancereferenceterm-113220adlib-term-113220e8b02414-1477-3046-8f2a-947e5c159b21literalItalyItalycountryliteralUmbriaUmbriaregionprobablyGubbioreferenceterm-39575adlib-term-39575cdf6707a-1eeb-3622-a26b-6e54f1f8d4abtin-glazereferenceterm-42861adlib-term-428615b368285-f1a8-3dcf-a5b2-637fd3c3956cearthenwareDiametercm16Heightcm3.5referencemedia-200465adlib-media-200465605344a8-6f19-3b8f-9a17-7223af7cb1a4jpegaa/aa35/C_72_1927_1_201601_kly25_dc2.jpg1heightpixels875widthpixels102416162569803051imagejpegaa/aa35/mid_C_72_1927_1_201601_kly25_dc2.jpg1heightpixels427widthpixels50016162569803051imagejpegaa/aa35/C_72_1927_1_201601_kly25_dc2.jpg1heightpixels875widthpixels102416162569803051imagejpegaa/aa35/preview_C_72_1927_1_201601_kly25_dc2.jpg1heightpixels214widthpixels25016162569803051image0media
