object type: Buff earthenware, tin-glazed pale beige on the exterior; interior lead-glazed pale yellowish-brown; base unglazed. Painted in blue, and with red and gold lustre.
Squat tapering albarello form, slightly waisted on one side and bulging on the other.
Round the waist is a horizontal red lustre band, above which is a repeating pattern comprising a red bud between two gold leaves, alternating with a red spot over three gold mounts. Below the line, the pattern is inverted. Above the base is a gold zig-zag between two horizontal red bands; on the shoulder, a gold zig-zag between two pairs of blue bands and, on the neck, a red lustre band shading to gold at the rim.
