The figures are supported on a high rectangular pedestal with mouldings round the top and bottom of its sides. It is hollow underneath and has a small ventilation hole under the shepherd. The figures stand side by side facing the viewer with a very small seated dog between them. The shepherdess, on the left, is a little shorter than the shepherd. In her right hand she holds a staff, and in her left holds a stem with a flower and leaves in front of her waist. The shepherd holds a similar stem in his left hand, and with his right hand supports a staff which rests on his left shoulder and terminates beside his feet.C.793-19281accession numberC.793-192876067priref76067old object number3720urihttps://data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/id/object/76067https://data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/id/object/76067referenceagent-149638adlib-agent-1496387376d833-d0a7-3be0-916e-9c892b7a24d8The Fitzwilliam MuseumDr J.
