The duck has no feet or legs and instead is supported on a circular base which is hollow underneath. The duck has a fan-shaped tail. Its body, wings and tail are integrally moulded with scale-like patterns and long feathers. Its raised neck and bill are bare. The eyes are painted in with dark-brown slip and there is a splash of slip on its right wing.
