Exotic birds could be could be studied in aviaries and menageries, such as the 2nd and 3rd Dukes of Richmond in England in Whitehall and the Duke of Montague\u2019s at Blackheath, and talking birds, such as parrots, were popular pets for less wealthy people. Many were brought back alive or stuffed by officers and crew members of ships returning from non-European parts of the world. Modellers of ceramic figures were also influenced by imported Chinese porcelain figures of parrots and other birds. The beak of this bird seems broader than a pigeon's, and it may have been iintended to be a parrot."}],"periods":[{"@link":{"type":"reference"},"admin":{"id":"term-113159","uid":"adlib-term-113159","uuid":"4bdfb4a7-b307-3dfa-a3d6-8ada4683271e"},"summary_title":"18th Century, third quarter"},{"@link":{"type":"reference"},"admin":{"id":"term-108039","uid":"adlib-term-108039","uuid":"d5a15f6b-f522-32d8-b678-8685fcc08296"},"summary_title":"George II or George III"}],"places":[{"@link":{"type":"reference"},"admin":{"id":"term-107658","uid":"adlib-term-107658","uuid":"824d3ecf-92c1-33aa-8d45-2f0239317270"},"hierarchies":[[{"@link":{"type":"literal"},"name":[{"value":"England"}],"summary_title":"England","type":"country"}]],"summary_title":"Staffordshire"}]}]},"materials":[{"note":[{"value":"cream"}],"reference":{"@link":{"type":"reference"},"admin":{"id":"term-42861","uid":"adlib-term-42861","uuid":"5b368285-f1a8-3dcf-a5b2-637fd3c3956c"},"summary_title":"earthenware"}}],"measurements":{"dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","units":"cm","value":"22"},{"dimension":"Length","units":"cm","value":"14.2"}]},"multimedia":[{"@link":{"type":"reference"},"admin":{"id":"media-47137","uid":"adlib-media-47137","uuid":"f3c0c285-17bb-38e9-8965-642fb2dff6cc"},"processed":{"large":{"format":"jpeg","location":"aa\/aa9\/C_839_1928_281_29.jpg","location_is_relative":true,"measurements":{"dimensions":[{"dimension":"height","units":"pixels","value":740},{"dimension":"width","units":"pixels","value":570}]},"modified":1742583558351,"resizable":true,"type":"image"},"mid":{"format":"jpeg","location":"aa\/aa9\/mid_C_839_1928_281_29.jpg","location_is_relative":true,"measurements":{"dimensions":[{"dimension":"height","units":"pixels","value":649},{"dimension":"width","units":"pixels","value":500}]},"modified":1742583558351,"resizable":true,"type":"image"},"original":{"format":"jpeg","location":"aa\/aa9\/C_839_1928_281_29.jpg","location_is_relative":true,"measurements":{"dimensions":[{"dimension":"height","units":"pixels","value":740},{"dimension":"width","units":"pixels","value":570}]},"modified":1742583558351,"resizable":true,"type":"image"},"preview":{"format":"jpeg","location":"aa\/aa9\/preview_C_839_1928_281_29.jpg","location_is_relative":true,"measurements":{"dimensions":[{"dimension":"height","units":"pixels","value":325},{"dimension":"width","units":"pixels","value":250}]},"modified":1742583558351,"resizable":true,"type":"image"}},"sort":"0","type":{"base":"media","type":"image"}},{"@link":{"type":"reference"},"admin":{"id":"media-47138","uid":"adlib-media-47138","uuid":"110521f7-de47-3f66-a55a-bf9fd62126be"},"processed":{"large":{"format":"jpeg","location":"aa\/aa9\/C_839_1928_282_29.jpg","location_is_relative":true,"measurements":{"dimensions":[{"dimension":"height","units":"pixels","value":740},{"dimension":"width","units":"pixels","value":570}]},"modified":1742583559478,"resizable":true,"type":"image"},"mid":{"format":"jpeg","location":"aa\/aa9\/mid_C_839_1928_282_29.jpg","location_is_relative":true,"measurements":{"dimensions":[{"dimension":"height","units":"pixels","value":649},{"dimension":"width","units":"pixels","value":500}]},"modified":1742583559478,"resizable":true,"type":"image"},"original":{"format":"jpeg","location":"aa\/aa9\/C_839_1928_282_29.jpg","location_is_relative":true,"measurements":{"dimensions":[{"dimension":"height","units":"pixels","value":740},{"dimension":"width","units":"pixels","value":570}]},"modified":1742583559478,"resizable":true,"type":"image"},"preview":{"format":"jpeg","location":"aa\/aa9\/preview_C_839_1928_282_29.jpg","location_is_relative":true,"measurements":{"dimensions":[{"dimension":"height","units":"pixels","value":325},{"dimension":"width","units":"pixels","value":250}]},"modified":1742583559478,"resizable":true,"type":"image"}},"sort":"1","type":{"base":"media","type":"image"}}],"name":[{"reference":{"@link":{"type":"reference"},"admin":{"id":"term-110277","uid":"adlib-term-110277","uuid":"97f1ad1c-7b1d-373a-b0ae-ed010d95f37b"},"summary_title":"animal figure"}}],"note":[{"type":"history note","value":"Mr F.
