The figure is supported on a square base which is concave and glazed underneath, and has a central ventilation hole. Ceres stands on a low mound with a tree stump at the back, which like the base is coloured green with random streaks of brown. She stands on her left leg with her right relaxed and a little behind it. Her head is turned towards her left, and she holds a sickle in her right hand at her side, and with her left holds up a bunch of wheat ears (partly missing) which rest on her left shoulder.
