object type: greyish-buff stoneware, with brown iron wash, producing a mottled surface under the salt-glaze. The jug has a bulbous body standing on a low slightly spreading foot, a cylindrical neck,with a cordon at its junction with the body, and a loop handle with a vertical groove.
