The eight-sided dish has a shaped rim, shallow curved sides, and an applied central cylindrical container for potted crayfish. This is surrounded by three pairs of sprays of stylized flowers and foliage. The high, domed cover fits over the central container. It is plain inside and on the outside is painted dark green at the bottom to resemble seaweed.
