The vase is of inverted bell-shape with an everted rim, and stands on a cylindrical foot. It has two loop handles, each formed by plaited coils with a scroll on either side at the top and bottom. Both sides of the pot are decorated with landscapes in late Ming style. In one there are two seated Chinese figures, one holding up a fan, and in the other, two different Chinese figures, one of whom holds a large vase. Above, round the mouth, there is a formal border of scrolls and linear motifs. The handles are decorated overall with spots.
