object type: Buff earthenware, thrown, tin-glazed and painted in blue, greyish-green, yellow and dull red. Barrel-shaped with an applied loop handle. The sides are decorated with a horizontal stem of berries and leaves, between pairs of yellow and green horizontal bands. The back of the handle is painted in blue with four spots, a pair of vertical strokes, and six spots reducing in size towards the bottom. A circular hole at the top of the handle may have been for the attachment of a hinged cover.
